10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: The first destination is Bai Dinh Pagoda, known for its fame not only in Vietnam but also abroad. Upon arrival, tourists are immediately impressed by the grand Tam Quan gate, a three-story structure with a tiled roof. Passing through the gate, there are two entrances leading to the left and right sides, with over five hundred exquisite stone statues of Arhats.
Here, visitors will witness the world record-breaking sight of 500 LA HAN statues, all carved from a single block of green stone, lining the temple grounds. Next is the Bell Tower, the largest bell in the country, adorned with intricate floral patterns and inscriptions in Chinese characters. Behind the Bell Tower, you’ll find the Thien Y A Di Palace and Phap Chu Temple, both constructed entirely from four-sided wooden beams. Inside the palace is the magnificent statue of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, adorned with gold, and is also the largest of its kind in Vietnam.
Perched atop the mountain is the Tam The Temple, the largest in the Bai Dinh complex. From here, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire temple area. Inside the temple, there are three colossal statues representing the three incarnations of the Buddha, guiding sentient beings toward enlightenment.
Nearby is the statue of Di Lac Buddha, symbolizing optimism and joy with a gentle and welcoming smile
